The perfect place to stay as you explore High Country in North Carolina. Our centrally located short-stay cabin is conveniently located in Linville Land Harbor, within a short drive to many of the area’s most popular attractions, and highly visited towns of Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock.
Our cabin is immaculately clean, furnished to a high standard and fully equipped with a host of welcoming comforts.
Wooded Wanderlust is ideal for family reunions, a friends trip and even business travelers who wish to be moments from the action and attractions of High Country, happy in the knowledge they have a welcoming and relaxing home-from-home to relax and unwind after a day’s adventure in the city.
Enjoy the privacy of your own cabin with family or friends, and with the reassurance that we are on hand if you need us. Our cabin is also pet-friendly, so feel free to bring them along!

Whether you’re looking to hike, fly fish, enjoy nature, this is the perfect home base for your adventures. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas, including a variety of ski resorts, Grandfather Mountain, wineries & breweries, tubing, zip lining, mountain biking, horseback riding and much more.
There are also lots of town worth visiting: Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk — we could go on and on, but here are a few highlights:
Grandfather Mountain: Walk the Mile High Swinging Bridge and take in the breathtaking views.
Banner Elk Village: Great vibes, with bars, restaurants, ice cream shops and live music most Fridays and Saturdays.
Linville Falls Winery: One of our favorite wineries, and less than 15 minutes from the cabin — if you enjoy wine, this is a must!
Shopping and Dining: So many wonderful options for shopping and dining in the area. We’re happy to provide you with all our recommendations.
We’re your hosts, Maria & Omar. We’ve been together since we were teens and have been married almost 20 years.
We moved from South Florida to North Carolina in 2018 and fell in love with the mountains — we have 3 kids and turns out we really love the outdoors, the change of seasons and southern charm.
We had been dreaming of owning our own vacation home for a few years and when we saw this cabin, we knew it was the one.
Aside from managing the property, I (Maria) am a mortgage specialist, licensed in both NC, FL and VA. If you’re looking to buy in any of those states — or invest in your own short-term rental, I’d love to help.
Omar is a project manager at an architect firm — thankfully, he always supports my wild ideas and has a knack for finding the perfect homes on Zillow 🙂 This cabin wouldn’t have been possible without him!
